2lips is a choreographic installation, a simultaneous stage and a three-dimensional access to the intimate areas of sexuality. Based on the anatomy and cultural history of the vulva, 2lips creates a space in which new images and narratives of the female* genitals are created with bizarre acts of exposure, lustful nude dances, weird enlightenment scenarios and quotations from feminist works.
2lips designs self-determined, positive representations of the vulva, which simultaneously liquefy the (hetero)normative dichotomy male/female and the phantasm of the natural-biological female*. The experimental mixture of artistic-sensual experience and transfer of knowledge at the same time, is a humorous challenge to confront one’s own with personal shame, desire and ignorance.

2lips ist eine choreografische Installation, eine Simultanbühne und ein dreidimensionaler Zugang zu den Intimbereichen der Sexualität. Ausgehend von der Anatomie und der Kulturgeschichte der Vulva schafft 2lips einen Raum, in dem mit skurrilen Entblößungsakten, lustvollen Nackttänzen, schrägen Aufklärungszenarien und Zitaten aus feministischen Werken neue Bilder und Narrationen des weiblichen* Genitale entstehen.
2lips entwirft selbstbestimmte, positive Darstellungen der Vulva, die zugleich die (hetero)normative Dichotomie männl.*/weibl.* und das Phantasma des natürlich-biologisch Weiblichen* verflüssigen. Die experimentelle Mischform zwischen künstlerisch-sinnlicher Erfahrung und Wissensvermittlung fordert humorvoll dazu auf, sich mit der eigenen Scham, Lust und Unwissenheit zu konfrontieren.
*Das Sternchen verweist auf geschlechtliche Identitäten jenseits von biologischen Mann-Frau-Zuschreibungen.
